This means of investing in farmland may be more appealing to institutional investors or individual investors with sufficient assets to purchase a well diversified portfolio of farms. As a general rule, a separately managed diversified farm portfolio requires $10 to $20 million of assets. Services provided by Ceres Partners include:

Locate prospective farm acquisitions and perform pre-purchase due diligence
Identify qualified farm operator and negotiate lease terms
Monitor farm operations and market crop production for crop share leases
Coordinate agronomists to advise tenants on proper fertilizer applications to maintain long-term soil fertility
Manage and maintain buildings, bins and other improvements
Recommend farm improvements that increase its value
Consult and assist in farm sales when appropriate
